Estimate Project Cost

The estimates for the design and build of our 4.8m wide single carriageway bridges are as follow.

The bridges consist of driven steel piles, steel beams, a concrete panel deck, and concrete abutments forming a carriageway of 4.8m.

The bridge is designed for HN loading with the following restrictions.

• 120% Class 1 Bridge restriction
• No over width axles

The fee range above is given with the understanding that there are no special design requirements for the site outside what our standard design encompasses (i.e., very poor ground conditions or increased payload).

The pile length and abutment sizes vary from site to site hence the range in pricing above. A site assessment would be required to allow us to offer a fixed quote.

Included in these estimates:

• Initial site investigation,
• Design/engineers fees,
• Drawings
• Building consent application
• All materials (excluding fill as may be
• quired)
• Delivery of all materials to site
• Full construction of the bridge including,
• Construction of pre-cast deck panels
• Construction of pre-cast abutment panels
• Pile driving (excluding digger hire/use)
• Steel fabrication and erection on site
• Construction of bridge and abutments onsite
• Timber side railing
• Signs
• Timber retaining walls and any wire supports as required.

Not included in these estimates:

• Council building consent fees
• Digger for driving of piles and assembling the bridge
• Site Works, i.e., preparing site for bridge construction, lane work to bridge.
• Tractor on site.

Included in these estimates:

• Initial site investigation,
• Design/engineers fees,
• Drawings
• Building consent application
• All materials (excluding fill as may be required)
• Delivery of all materials to site
• Full construction of the bridge including,
• Construction of pre-cast deck panels
• Construction of pre-cast abutment panels
• Pile driving (excluding digger hire/use)
• Steel fabrication and erection on site
• Construction of bridge and abutments onsite
• Timber side railing
• Signs
• Timber retaining walls and any wire supports as required.
